How to create an “Irresistible Offer” with E-Books

The best way by far for the health and fitness industry to start engaging with more people, more often is to simply educate people about the benefits, the how to’s and the hidden secrets of having a healthy and active lifestyle.

With this said how do we achieve this online? I am continuing my mission of making the health and fitness industry more accessible with easy and effective digital marketing techniques. The best way to educate our audience is to create your very own e-books.

E-books are a digital marketers dream; they are free to deliver, are perceived as having value to our audience and can easily form the basis of my favourite type of marketing campaigns… (Joint ventures and affiliates).

The following information describes 6 ways in which you can create your very own valuable information e-book and then use it to attract more clients or increase your cash flow.

How-to create an e-book for massive effect!

People always want to know how to do something. Especially things about health, fitness, nutrition, weight loss, weight gain, sports performance….or getting the edge.

If they can take a short cut and buy or receive information that shows them how to do it quicker and faster, then they will do it.

If you find something hard to do (like produce your first e-book – hence this post), there’s a good chance other people have the same issues.

What to write about…

Go to www.googlegroups.com and search your how-to idea and see if other people have the same problem.

What questions are they asking? Those are the questions that will go into your how-to information marketing. Don’t overlook common tasks. The biggest misconception about how to information is that it has to explain something complicated.

Once you’ve chosen your topic, gather enough data to complete it. Find out the questions people want to have answered – try to aim for 100+ questions.

Now what?

Pull out the top 10 questions about that particular topic. Each one of these questions is now a chapter in your e-book. Next, break each chapter into four sub-chapters.

You’ll end up with 40 different sections: 10 main chapters with four sub-sections each. So, with 10 chapters and four sub-sections you have 40 articles.

If each article was 3 pages each then you have 120 pages…which is a decent sized book. Maybe you have some exercise descriptions and images to put in as well, then you have now got some great content which could either be used to earn extra cash or help market to your audience, build trust and pose you as the expert.

Make money by talking…

You could even develop your education report or e-book by speaking into a microphone (your laptop or PC should have a good enough one). Talk about your subject and then get someone to transcribe what you say. You’ll probably get about 40 pages of information for every hour that you speak. If it takes you an hour to create 40 pages you will need to speak for 5 hours.

Compilation method

Choose a number of experts to interview on a topic. Record the interviews, have them transcribed, and then compile them into one collection.

User generated content method

Ask other people for responses or articles and then collate the material into an e-book

Quick method

Go to the website www.ArticleDashboard.com. At the top of the site there is a search box. Search your chosen topic. Click on each article and copy and paste the entire article INCLUDING the author’s contact information into a word document.

  • You might want to chose 50-70 articles
  • Email each author and ask if you can include their article into your book
  • Put the articles into a logical order

Include each of the articles in your table of contents.

Public domain method

Public domain is information whose copyright has expired or information that never had a copyright in the first place. Public domain includes books, videos, music, screenplays and government information. You can’t claim authorship of the material. You will find that people are willing to pay for it. Yes I will repeat that. People are willing to pay for it.

How to create an e-book

There are really two types of e-book you can create: a PDF and an exe. File.

What are the advantages of a PDF e-book?

  • Most systems can read your book
  • Its easier for you to write
  • No need for special skills
  • You can turn a word doc into a PDF really easily

If you don’t have a PDF creator on your laptop or PC you can download CutePDF for free.

I would recommend this type of production for your e-book

An exe type of e-book works just like a website. You can look at it as an html compiled e-book. All the pages in it are actually html pages. This requires a little more knowledge of coding.

In conclusion…

You do have time to create your first e-book. You do know what to write about. You do know how to create it and you do know how to use it to build trust or pose yourself as the expert.
