Introduction

Original brief

OFS were proud to be asked to develop a web-based system which primarily acts as a front desk “Member Management System” but then has the functionality to act as a unique “Activity Management System” through health assessments, programme prescriptions, exercise demonstrations and activity monitoring tools.

The system will be used by the gym staff as a retention tool whereas the end users (the kids) will experience an interactive and educational gym experience aiding them towards their health and fitness goals.

Magic Horse – Sports Consortium Software

Magic Horse is a software application which analyses horse racing data to identify possible opportunities for a well established sports consortium. It has been constructed after years of research and data analysis performed by some very clever people.

Project Brief

The interface was designed to be easy to use and intuitive and allows different parameters to be set specific to current trends and qualifying data. Bespoke algorithms were created to consider several key indicators in determining if there is an opportunity or not. The application allows several races to be compiled and entered into the application quickly and efficiently which reduces the time taken to perform hundreds of hours of analysis.

FIA – Interactive website for consumers and members

The FIA is the governing body for the health and fitness industry. The FIA required a new website design to consider the different types of web visitors they receive. Firstly they want to engage and direct health explores (consumers) to the best health and fitness services near them, by increasing the interaction of the site. OFS went about designing an optimum user experience with simplified navigation and easy to identifiable sections. Engagement with the site increased by the inclusion of interactive features such as how healthy are you? and the gym finder?

The FIA also wanted to use the website to increase their membership base with gyms and exercise professionals. The FIA provide their members with a secure member’s area, packed full of features to help them build their own businesses and services.

Project Brief

There are two main sections to the site...one for consumers and the other for FIA members. The navigation and site plan had to reflect the experience for each of these parties. The consumer side of the site was designed to by synonymous with the FIA’s and Government’s moreactive4life campaign with key interactive features.

The member’s side of the site was to remain professional with interactive features illustrating the benefits of being a member.

All interactive and secure areas of the site had to be easy to use and intuitive. In some cases integration with other websites and resources was needed which was seamlessly filtered into the site.

Project Brief

The YMCA Workplace Activator program was born from the highly successful England Active program where people within a given community are championed to encourage and support active lifestyles within peers and colleagues. The clever people at YMCA wanted to develop an online portal to support the great work that the program delivers in a workplace environment. The portal would act as an educational and signposting resource to all employees involved with the program whilst giving them the ability to book on to local exercise sessions and engage in a wider community by developing its own online social community.
